Yiombi Thona is a man of many titles – member of the UN Non-governmental Liaison Service, chair of the Asia-Pacific Refugee Relief Network, and Gwangju University professor. He is the most well-known refugee in Korea, having gained attention with his podcasts "All About Africa" where he tells stories about Africa. Although he was born to the Congolese royal family, graduated from the University of Kinshasa with a degree in economics, and worked at the National Intelligence Agency, he was imprisoned on the charge of leaking classified information before fleeing from his homeland and coming to Korea.
